Have been researching the umai product for some time and watching Guga use your products. We went shopping for a ribeye or strip loin and came home with a 28lb short loin from Stew Leonards!

Could not pass up at $5.99/lb.

Getting the loin in the bag was not an issue, but it took a few attempts to get my Foodsaver to pull down the bag. It kept timing out and just stopping.

We switched to a new clean bag and it seems to have pulled well, but its not super tight. I know the forums say that you only need 70-80% contact, but wondering if I should try to get more contact and if anybody has any tips on getting the Foodsaver to run longer.

Wow! A 28 pounder...rather than to keep wasting bags you want to have considered cutting the meat in half to start with. OTOH as I have posted before you don't even need to use a Food Saver. Let me post the straw or tubing, lung power and a "bread twisty" method.
