Bag didn't vacuum and sealed right was created by Elsa17
It's my first time to use the system after 3 days of convincing my husband to try it and to buy a rib eyed steak it didn't work.I end up manually taking the air away and been able to make the bag come in contact with the meat. I've been trying to vacuum seal the dry bag with my food saver but it didn't work I end up cutting the bag too short so I cannot seal the bag. Right now I'm hoping for the best

Welcome aboard, Elsa! Sorry to hear of your sealing issues, but glad you reverted to the manual approach I preach about LOL. One question though and maybe it's just the words, but you said "rib eye steak" - you didn't mean an individual steak did you? I hope you meant a full rib eye sub-primal that weighted in 10 to 18 pounds. Ron

LOL - then after you have served him dry aged rib eye steaks cut from it you will have him begging you to buy and dry age more! No offense but like 99% of the time the roles are reversed here with the ladies refusing to dry age meat in the refrigerator! BTW how long do you plan to age this one? Personally if just 21 days - don't bother - same with 28 days since a ribeye is so much thicker and benefits greatly from more time. I suggest no less than 35 days and my personal preference is 45 days.

Good luck and tell that "old man" of yours to get off your case!!! Ron
