Can't get the seal to bond properly was created by poissjea
Hello,

I just received my dry bag order (16 X 20) and I'm trying to vaccum and seal off the bag with a 22 pounds striploin using my Foodsaver 2100. Unfortunately I just can't get the seal to bond at all. I've try alternatives, like making a sleeve with my regular sealing bag (Ron video), no success so far, it just won't stick together, any suggestion please?

Can I just suck off the air and tie the bag with tie rods???

tks

Sorry that you are having an issue. As for the simplest solution which is just fine is to insert a straw or tubing in the end of the bag, grasp the end so it is tight around the straw and suck out the air, quickly pull out the straw and seal with a twisty. You can speed this method up by first pressing the bag against the meat to force out as much air as possible. Ron
